ABOUT GAIA
Age: 18 months
Gender: Female
Weight: 60 lbs
Energy Level: High
Overall Drive: Moderate
Location: Forest Grove, OR

Gaia is the most lovable and affectionate dog you could ask for. She is extremely smart, curious, and works off praise alone. She really is just a dog who wants to enjoy life and be loved. This girl will have you laughing with her goofy playing and when it’s time for a rest she will seek you out to lay her entire body over you – even better if you are laying down and she can use your head as a pillow!

Agile and intelligent, this girl has mastered all of the basics and beyond – including climbing a ladder and navigating an A-Frame with ease. Gaia’s love for fresh air and speed would for sure make her an Olympic runner if she were human. She also loves to cuddle and enjoy downtime as well. She is potty trained, crate trained, non-destructive prefers to be inside her crate, which is her safe place, with the door open when just hanging out at home.

Gaia travels well in the car, is well-mannered at the vet’s office, and unphased by loud noises aside from a bark or two and will be quiet when told. She has been to the farmer's market and dog-friendly restaurants and has been pleasant to people of all ages. While Gaia does love to play with other dogs she knows, she needs slow, controlled introductions and is reactive to dogs who are high energy and not well controlled.

Gaia is a breeze to train and motivated best by high verbal praise, then food, only requiring minimal correction. She is a near-perfect housemate, but has no hesitation to counter-surfing, raiding the pantry, or trying to push past an open door.

Her ideal home will be with an active family who goes on lots of adventures and enjoys just as much downtime to shower her with love and affection. They will need to manage exterior doors and be extremely vigilant so that she doesn’t squeeze by. Because of her intelligence, love for learning, and running, she could make a great prospect for advanced obedience, rally, or agility.
