Frankie loves to be touched and loved on. She will sit forever for someone to just touch an ear or lay for hours for a belly rub. This girl is SWEET, affectionate, curious but cautious, and when she does lack confidence, her “go to” place is in your lap!
Frankie is cautiously interested in strangers, excitable due to age, but not in an excessive or over the top manner. She has been introduced to horses & a donkey, initially expressed an interest, then tended to disregard. She is happy to meet other dogs as long as the dog is neutral, and the introduction is slow and controlled. If another dog is reactive or aggressive towards her, she will respond reactively. Otherwise, fair play is game on!
Frankie is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and is well-mannered at the vets’ office. Loud noises cause her to startle and bolt a short distance, but she recovers quickly. She is working hard to master her basic skills and will need a firm, but fair handler who wants to create a wonderful bond while continuing her training. She is motivated most by affection and moderate verbal correction is sufficient to redirect unwanted behaviors.
Frankie is looking for a moderately active person or family who can provide clear boundaries and plenty of structure for ongoing success. This goofy, goobery girl has springs for legs and loves running in the yard, can entertain herself by tossing her toys in the air and chasing them, and loves to be a couch potato and cuddle up for some pets. She is the perfect mix of fun and relaxation!
