Frank is an amazingly loving, intelligent, loyal, and fun dog. He is the life of the party even if it is only him and another person. This young man strives to be the best dog he can be for his person, pack and family. If Frank is your dog her will stick to you like glue both in and out of the house, paying attention to you and everything you do #NewBestFriend.
If Frank was a human his foster says he would be Lebron James #KingFrank. Frank is an energetic team player that enjoys playing games and is a natural athlete. The other job that Frank might excel at is being a detective since he wants to be involved and investigate everything on earth. He would be considered to be an easy keeper, he gets compliments everywhere he goes (walks, vets, etc). Cuddles happen to be one of his most favorite pastimes and he lets you know that it is cuddle time by putting his head in your lap. While he does enjoy downtime, he is also a large fan of being active such as hiking, running, and playing tag. One of the odd things that Frank loves to do as well is attempt to fit into his foster sibling's beds (small dogs) #IFitsISits.
Frank is friendly with all members and children of her foster family. He loves children and welcomes them with hugs and kisses when they enter the house. As well-behaved as Frank is, he is under-socialized on a leash with other dogs. This comes in the form of barking and pulling on the leash, not in an aggressive way but more of a “hey there is a new friend over there that I want to meet!”. He is excellent at home with boundaries but will need continued training in social and leashed environments/meetings. Frank gets along well with his two small foster family dogs but has not been tested around cats nor livestock.
Frank has an amazing demeanor when in normal “stressful” situations. He loves car rides and stays within his designated area within the car. At the vet’s office, he is calm and friendly with the staff. Loud noises do not startle him, but rather make him curious about what is making all of the racket. His motivation during training are toys and treats, and he is good at waiting to play with his toys and doesn’t mind sharing with other dogs. Some of the commands that Frank has mastered during his time in foster care are Come Here, Stay, OK, Sit, Up Up (Stand for hugs), and Crate. Other commands still being worked on are Heel, and Down. The only bad thing Frank does is shred stuffed toys, which is a minor nuance in the grand scheme of things.
The ideal forever home for Frank would be one that is active. Plenty of hikes, walks, runs, and playtime. He would thrive with someone to give him an ample amount of affection and continued training. Additionally, Frank would love a family with kids and other dogs as well. Frank loves everything about life, including you!
