Eltee is possibly one of the sweetest young dogs that we have seen in a long time. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, believe me, we checked. If you are looking for a young lady that has an incredible sniffer, then Eltee might just be your girl.

 

Eltee’s foster family said that if she was human that her avenue of employment would be an investigator. She uses her nos for everything and has yet to lose something. Technically Eltee is not a dog, she is actually a nose with four feet, fur, and floppy ears. #HaveScentWillTravel Due to her strong nose, she is perfect at seeking out new and adventurous things on her foster’s property. While she is a moderate energy dog, she is very trainable and has a good “off-switch”. Every day she goes on adventures around her foster’s 5 acres off-leash and has a solid recall during her adventures.

 

She is amazing with children; they are her go-to for fun! Every day she goes and hangs out with them, lets them rub her belly, and give her treats. Upon meeting new people, she can be shy but warms up quickly once she realizes that they are givers of attention. Eltee has been tested with cats and livestock. The cat and her get along, if the cat runs Eltee will chase but not aggressively but just a fun chase. The horses are a different case, she went to chase them but realized that they chase back and she is not a fan of that. #HorsesAreChasingMeHelp Now she is very cautious around them. This girl loves car rides and is up for an adventure any time! Loud noises are not her thing, but she is a puppy and that might just be because she has not been around them much.

 

Eltee loves food and her people more than anything in the world! Her training has been very successful and quick. During her time in foster, she has mastered Sit, Wait, Here, and will wait at door openings until given a cue to come in or go out of the door. She is working diligently on Down, it is difficult, but she will get it eventually. During her life, we don’t think that she has spent much time inside of the house, but she is not destructive nor does she have any naughty habits that we have noticed. This girl is a very clean slate for someone to work with.

 

The perfect forever home for Eltee would be one with kids and other dogs, as she loves both of them. A place that is moderately active and possibly someone that would enjoy giving her a job, we think she could excel in barn hunt, nose work, or other interactive sports. If you are interested in a solid young lady with lots of potential, then Eltee is your chick!

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Edmonds, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
