ABOUT EDDIE
~DOB: 4/1/2023
Weight: 72 lbs
Energy Level: Low
Overall Drive: Low - Moderate
Location: Mount Vernon, WA
Eddie is a handsome, young and vibrant guy. He is always happy to have his person around and is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. This fella is still figuring out that he has long legs and that sometimes he can look a little goofy running, much like a baby horse or giraffe so will surely keep you laughing.
If Eddie were a human, he would be a globe-trotting food taster ala Anthony Bourdain-esque. Anything that is edible, he will try, his foster has yet found a fruit or vegetable that Eddie does not enjoy. Luckily, he does not attempt to eat non-edible things such as socks, shoes, remotes, or even toy stuffing. He will, however, disassemble a plush toy quickly, but will not try to eat the stuffing, which is always a plus and keeps the vet bills light. If you are working from home, you will usually find him curled up near your feet or on his nearby cot bed. During the workday, he will come over for some head scratches and will knock out a “big stretch” then head back to nap quietly. Once the day is over, he enjoys some brief cuddling with his favorite person,
When out and about in town, Eddie loves meeting new people and has never met a stranger. He lives with an older male Malinois and adores his “big brother”; and will often be found curled up next to his resident sibling. His foster is working on some leash reactivity when meeting other dogs, but when off leash he does not show any signs of reactivity.
Eddie loves riding in the car, will load up for any adventure at the drop of a hat, and after looking out the window for a bit will lay down and nap. He is potty trained, crate trained, well-mannered at the vets’ office, and unbothered by loud noises. He will bark at a loud motorcycle going by and may want to chase it, but simple leash correction stops this behavior. Eddie has mastered his basic commands and is working on becoming proficient in more advanced tasks
Eddie is looking for a moderately active home and a handler that can continue his training. He may do well with respectful children and would enjoy having another dog of similar size to play with. Eddie loves to use his nose so may enjoy scent work, is always up for a hiking adventure, and can chill on the couch for movie night. His amazing Swiss Army knife personality shows he is thrilled to do a little bit of everything!
