My name is Delilah. I’m a 5 year old Belgian Malinois. I was found alone in a pasture with a very broken leg. I also had been recently nursing puppies. Lots of people came together to help me; my new friends with BAGSR are going to make sure I find a family who will love and take care of me. Now that I’m on the mend, I am staying with an awesome foster family while I wait for my new forever fam.

Everyone keeps calling me stunning which is kind of embarrassing – haha.

I’m a gentle, sweet, affectionate girl and absolutely adore being with my people. My new family should understand that even though I’m a soft girl, once I’m fully healed I’ll enjoy doing things with my humans that will keep my body and mind busy and healthy. It will be important for me to be active and to be mentally challenged.

Something you should know about me is that I like to cuddle. You just might catch me sitting beside my people with my head in a cozy lap. I know this contradicts what most dogs of my breed like to do. My new friends say that I am a rare gem with a golden temperament.

Without a doubt my true colors will show after a couple of months and my leg is fully healed, but I’ll positively make a lovely companion for someone special.

I get along with other dogs and it’s likely I’ll be fine if you have a cat or two.

I am crate trained and have nice house manners although I haven’t learned many of the skills that other dogs my age already know. I’m sure to be a quick learner and will really enjoy the journey of becoming the very best that I can be. We Mals love to learn!

While I wait for my very own family, I’ll be sharing my extraordinary foster humans (including 2 amazing kids) with four other dogs and two cats.

If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting in Sacramento.
