Cledus is a super friendly, people-focused dog who wants nothing more than to spend every moment by his handler’s side. He spends his days in his foster home exploring and will always stay close to check in whenever he’s out on an adventure.

Cledus has been known to push boundaries and will require a handler who can confidently set firm expectations. He is smart and eager to learn, but has been known to challenge the rules when he thinks he might be able to get away with something. Cledus has done well with all other dogs he’s met, including smaller dogs. He is curious about cats but hasn’t been reactive to them thus far. Cledus rides well in the car, isn’t reactive to loud noises, and behaves well at the veterinarian’s office. He is fully crate trained, is working on basic obedience, and settles well in the house as long as he has gotten plenty of exercise. He’s still got a bit of a puppy side to him and sometimes needs reminding to chew appropriately.

Cledus would do best in an active home where he would have plenty of opportunity to exercise. He’ll need a confident handler comfortable with setting boundaries and offering firm correction when necessary. His outgoing personality would be a great match for an active, busy home and he can’t wait to be a part of whatever adventure awaits him!

West Coast adoptions only, HOWEVER, if application is strong we may consider placement in other Western US states.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.

Adoption Donation: $500.00

Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.

For all inquiries, please fill out our adoption application first, as the volunteer answering emails is probably not the coordinator for the specific foster home/dog.
