Charm is sweet, affectionate, curious, and loyal. As she continues to settle in, her playfulness is coming out and she is gaining confidence. Charm is pretty easy-going and enjoys romping outside as much as she loves cuddling on the couch. She prefers to be near her handler and will do what she can to shower you with her love. She has a great nose on her and is highly motivated by food. So much that if she were human, she’d be a food critic. She is always open to trying new things, even the home-grown radishes in her foster moms’ garden which she gave a solid 5-star review!

Charm is a bit wary of strangers and takes some time to warm up once she realizes you are safe to be near her babies. After a few minutes and some tasty treats, she is much more receptive to interacting with visitors. She will need a handler who is kind and patient to help her build confidence, but also have clear boundaries and structure. As she gets more comfortable in her foster home, she is testing some boundaries - like wanting to stay outside when it’s time to come in.

Charm is crate trained, potty trained, rides well in the car, is well-mannered at the vets’ office, and although will alert bark at some loud noises; is mostly unphased. With her intelligence, food drive, and eagerness to please, she picks up on new tasks quickly and is always willing to learn.

Charm's ideal home would be quiet, free of chaos, and with an easygoing and understanding person.  She may do well with older kids, but younger ones would likely be too overwhelming for her. A neutral male dog may be a welcome housemate after proper introductions and time to adjust. Charm will benefit from moderate exercise and plenty of opportunities to partake in enriching games. She has lots of love to give and would like to be your best friend, sharing all the finer things in life, and maybe even dabbling in some nose work classes!
