Butters wants nothing more than to be part of a family, as they are always her number one priority. She adores kids and the loving chaos that comes with having a house full! Even out of the home, she will try to drag you to get close to any kids she sees. This fun, active girl is also independent for the times the kids are in school or otherwise occupied. She is always checking in on her family and ensuring they are safe and all things in order – much like the Mary Poppins of dogs!

She is great with all people she meets, does well in the car, and is well-mannered at the vet. She remains unphased by loud noises and is motivated by food and treats. If she were human, she would be an exterminator as her favorite outdoor activity is to clear all spaces of any rodents. While she is fine with horses, she does show intent interest in cats, chickens, and waterfowl.

Butters loves to play with other dogs and generally remains respectful of boundaries, although will resource guard food or other high-value items. Proper introductions and feeding in her crate have been successful in mitigating the issue. She is responsive to minimal correction for things like counter surfing and food motivates her to return the times the Husky portion of her brain kicks in and she bolts away like the goofy clown she is!

Butters ideal home would be an active family and include at least one child, but many would be even better! She is always up for anything and would enjoy going on many adventures or staying home on quiet days. Due to her incredible desire and unmatched success in eradicating rodents, Barn Hunt would likely be an amazing activity she would excel at.
