This sweet, sweet boy has such a great love of life. If he was a person he would be a Life Coach. Buddy is curious, confident, and loves to have fun. He would love to be someone’s constant companion. Buddy has a lot of puppy energy to burn, and needs to be reminded of his manners still.

Buddy has been great with anyone he meets, but is still learning not to jump. Because of his excitability, size, and mouthiness, a home with no small children would be best. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained. Buddy loves to be with his people so much, that he has some opinions about being left alone. For this reason he will need a secure crate. Buddy has been known to counter surf, but verbal corrections and/or a spray bottle has worked well. He is currently not allowed on the furniture.

Buddy has mastered "go to your room" (crate) "sit" and "come", he is still working on "down" and "heel". Loud noises don't seem to bother him. He is nervous about getting in the car, but rides quietly. Buddy gets along with the other dogs in his foster home after a slow introduction. He listens to correction well and loves to play with them. He will try to chase cats if they run, but is getting better about being called off. Buddy's ideal home would be a moderately active one with a lot of love to give. He loves to run, but also loves to chill inside. Like most Shepherds, he thrives on routine, boundaries, rules and consistency. Could you be his next bestfriend?
