Blizzard – A Little Storm Rolling In

This tiny winter whirlwind is already showing all the traits that make a Belgian Malinois so exceptional. Blizzard may be small, but this little snowstorm is bold, tenacious, and impossible to ignore.

Like a fast-moving winter front, Blizzard brings intensity and drive everywhere he goes. He already shows a nice, full, deep bite on the tug and can be a bit possessive of his toys in  classic spicy Malinois puppy behavior. Confident and curious, he’s not easily intimidated and has no problem standing his ground with older, more established dogs but will respect corrections from them.

For such a young pup, Blizzard is already off to a great start with structure. He is mostly potty trained and uses a bell to signal when he needs to go outside. He takes naps in his crate and sleeps overnight in a crate, rides nicely in the car, and has been well mannered at the vet’s office.

Blizzard would likely excel in high-level sport or a serious working home with someone experienced in raising and channeling the drive of a young Malinois. Like any powerful winter storm, he’ll need the right environment to thrive with ample physical exercise, mental stimulation, clear boundaries, and ongoing socialization to help him mature into a stable and productive adult.

Because of his intelligence and drive, Blizzard will likely do best in a home without small children, unless the family is highly experienced with high-drive working dogs.

If you’ve been waiting for a spicy Malinois puppy with serious potential, Blizzard might just be the storm you’ve been looking for.
