Betsy is a well-behaved, sweet, playful girl who wants to be your shadow and snuggle up with you in bed. If she had a job, she’d be a therapist because she loves people and wants to be there for them!
Betsy has pannus that slightly limits her vision and is manageable with daily eye drops. However, that doesn’t stop her from having fun! She gets excited when she knows you’re getting ready to play with her or walk her. Her eyes are locked on her ball during fetch and manages to track it despite her eye condition. When new people come over, she gets a little worked up, but after introductions are made, settles down quickly and is very friendly.
She is house-trained, crate-trained, unreactive to loud noises, and knows her basic commands. Betsy can be a bit reactive when she sees other dogs on walks, but with correction and redirection, she has learned to ignore them. With slow introductions and more socialization, she should be great! Overall, she is quiet and calm but can definitely be up for fun adventures.
Her ideal home would include a calm family, potentially with older kids and preferably no other pets, because the more attention, the better! With continued work on her socialization, she’d be more than a perfect companion for anyone willing to spoil her with attention!
