Athena is the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and adventure partner, with a heart as big as her toy pile. This playful, curious girl has a moderate energy level and loves learning new things—especially when snacks are involved! Obedience training is one of her favorite ways to bond, and she’s already mastered sit, down, stay, and leash walking.
Affectionate and attentive, Athena loves to follow her people around the house, whether you’re in the kitchen or brushing your teeth. She also has a quirky side—like collecting sticks, leaves, and any toys she can get her paws on to build a “treasure mound” in her bed. She’ll even sneak a sock or shoe now and then, just to add to the collection (don’t worry, she’s not destructive!).
Socially, Athena is gaining confidence outside the home and does well on walks. She’ll gladly take treats from new friends (both kids and adults!) and currently lives happily with two Malinois. She may bark a little when seeing other dogs in public but redirects easily with a tasty snack. She hasn’t met cats yet.
Athena is crate trained, house-savvy, and calm indoors. She’s made great progress with house manners and is working on calming her excitement during greetings and building confidence out in public. Minor corrections work well with her, and she’s incredibly eager to please.
Her ideal home? A person or family who wants a loyal, loving companion to take on walks, explore the world, and continue her training. Athena would love another friendly dog in the home to play with and help her grow even more. With her food drive and focus, she could even excel in obedience or scent work.

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview.
Adoption Donation: $500.00
Transport along Interstate 5 (Rowland Heights, CA to Edmonds, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
