PLEASE READ FIRST- Ari will need an experienced adopter as she is an active and energetic Malinois. She will need someone familiar with the breed or other working type breeds. She is very smart and active as well as sweet and attentive. She will be an amazing companion for an adopter that is mostly home and that will keep her mind and body active. As is typical of Malinois, she can be mouthy but she is gentle however we recommend no young children. Ari can jump a 6' fence however she can be crated for short times if needed.
Hello, I want to say hi to all my Belgian Malinois friends out there. My name is Ari. I'm a year, maybe a year and a half old, and I live with my foster moms and dad now. I also live with a large pack, I mean a bunch of Shepherds and a few other dogs. Cats and chickens are here too! But they are too interesting for us to really get to know each other. I don’t mind looking at them through the window or sniffing them while on a leash, but for the most part we remain at a safe distance!
My fosters really love me a whole lot, but they're kinda full and want me to have my own family to share my life with. As a Mal, as some call us, we are quite confident, smart and hardworking. This is so true for me. I love learning and playing with my foster siblings. My good friend, Anya, is one of my playmates. She is looking for her furever home too! We have a great time, but I do share my playing with the others as well. Even the littles!
I am a lean 50 lb petite girl. I may have a pinch of German shepherd in me too! I will need lots of exercise to keep my girlish figure! When I go out I love to smell the fresh air. Mom says I am scenting the air, whatever that means! Please take me for car rides I love it. I just lie down and wait for the destination to come so I can go and meet new people and see lots new places. Just saying, Home Depot was fun because there were lots of people to see and I got a cookie! I also just went on a day trip on the Skunk Train in Mendocino. It was so much fun on the train and meeting lots of people. Foster mom says I am a social butterfly!
So if you would like to meet me, just give my foster’s a shout! I am on their time as I don’t have my license as yet, so they will be glad to set up a time to see if were a match! See you soon!
